MegaPress: An Attempt To Set a Guinness World Record with AeroPress

The Polish coffee scene is full of excitement and energy. Polish baristas love coffee, the AeroPress and competitions. It is a known fact that the Polish AeroPress Championships are the most attended of all around the world. The two latest World AeroPress Champions are Poles. Yet, MegaPress may be the most memorable event yet.

The creative team at Cophi is organising an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record. They are hoping to gather several hundred coffee enthusiasts to simultaneously brew a cup of coffee using the AeroPress. The coffee-brewing event will take place during the Warsaw Coffee Festival, happening 20th October at Dom Towarowy Bracia Jabłkowscy.

“This is the first time a record in the category of alternative coffee brewing would be listed!”, Uri Wollner, the main organiser and founder of Cophi told us. Everything starts at 7:30 PM. Follow the Facebook event page to receive the latest updates.

At European Coffee Trip, we are even more excited because the AeroPress Movie will premiere in Poland that evening. The screening will follow the World Guinness Record attempt, starting at 9:00 PM at Kino Luna. Radek Nožička, the director of the film, will officially introduce the documentary to all the attendees.

The first invention of Alan Adler, the Aerobie Flying Ring, has gained its place in the book of Guinness World Records in 1986. Now it is time for the coffee community to celebrate the AeroPress Coffee Maker, Alan Adler’s last invention, with the same respect and love.
