It’s exciting to watch how the number of places serving specialty coffee in Europe is growing every year. Being listed in our guides already recognises the quality, as we manually review every cafe. Still, we want to allow European Coffee Trip users to share their favourites to reward their efforts.

HOW TO VOTE IN THE APP?
- Download or update our Mobile App on App Store or Google Play,
- Open the Awards tab in the app menu,
- Pick 1-3 specialty cafes you want to submit the vote with your email address,
- Confirm your email address to make the vote count!
3 SIMPLE RULES:
- Any speciality cafe featured in our guides is automatically eligible to collect votes.
- People can vote for their favourite specialty cafes exclusively through the European Coffee Trip mobile app during the voting period (September 15th – October 15th, 2026).
- People can submit their votes only once, they can pick 1-3 specialty cafes to vote for (each vote has equal value) and they need to validate their vote through email address. Only one vote per mobile device is allowed (we will disqualify duplicates).
ANNOUNCING THE WINNERS:
- The winning cafe per country will be announced for all countries (if the votes for the cafe exceed 10).
- The best cafe (5 or 10) list per country will be announced for countries with >20 specialty cafes listed (on the launch day).
We will announce the winners after the voting period ends on the 15th of October, 2026. It will take our team couple of days/weeks to process all the data and share the results publicly!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1 – My favourite cafe isn’t listed in the app. What can I do?
Encourage the cafe owners to submit their location directly via the ECT business portal. Our team prioritises reviewing and approving new listings during the Awards voting period so eligible cafes can start collecting votes as quickly as possible.
2 – Does the order in which I select cafes matter?
No. Every vote carries equal weight regardless of the selection order. You can vote for up to 3 specialty cafes in total.
3 – If I vote for 1 cafe today, can I add 2 more later?
No, your submission is locked in once submitted. Even if you choose only 1 or 2 cafes, you cannot return to add more votes later. Please make sure to select all your favorites at the same time!
4 – What if I make a mistake or change my mind after voting?
Once verified, votes are final to keep the system fair. If you made a major error, contact our admin team to request a manual review.
5 – What if I don’t receive the verification email?
First, check your spam or promo folder. If it’s not there, tap the Resend Email button in the Awards tab of the app. Your vote will not count until you click the confirmation link.
Note: Unverified votes are automatically purged every 24 hours. If your email never arrives, you can restart the voting process from scratch after 24 hours.
6 – I can’t see the Awards tab in the mobile app. What should I do?
If the tab isn’t showing up, try the following steps:
- Update the ECT app to the latest version in the App Store or Google Play.
- Force-close and restart the app to force a data refresh.
- Wait a short while—new features can occasionally take a few hours to sync across all regions.
If the Awards tab still doesn’t appear, reach out to our admin team for assistance.
