The 4th edition of Independent Barcelona Coffee Festival (IBCF) is already underway. Once again, Barcelona will be the gathering point for those who enjoy working in the field of speciality coffee and wish to learn more about it.
This year, the Independent Barcelona Coffee Festival will be expanding its capacity by moving to a 500m2 venue located within the Poblenou: Espacio Utopia 126 (Cristóbal de Moura, 126). This space will be house to the best brands, the latest trends and innovations in the coffee industry, and will also host an inspiring programme full of lectures, cuppings and other events.
The festival is expanding on this edition due to the ever-growing amount of visitors — over 7.000 registered during the last edition — but also because of the satisfaction of the own exhibitors in previous editions. This confirms that in merely 4 years, IBCF has managed to bring closer professionals nationwide as well as many coffee aficionados and drinkers to the culture of speciality coffee.
As customary in previous years, there will be international guests at Independent Barcelona Coffee Festival. For instance, last year we had Klaus Thomsen from The Coffee Collective and three-time UK Barista champion Maxwell Colonna.
On October 31, November 1 and 2, coffee professionals will have a gathering point to exchange ideas, share their interests and cook up some new collaborations within the framework of IBCF. A great occasion to bring together baristas, roasters, importers, coffee tasters and curious onlookers under the same principle: celebrating coffee culture.
